Privacy Policy

The short version
Your files never leave your device. Every converter on this site runs inside your browser; there is no server that receives, stores, or processes files, because the site has no server-side code at all. We don't have accounts, we don't set cookies, we don't use local storage, and we don't sell data — we couldn't; we don't collect it.
Files
Files you choose are read into your browser's memory with the File API, converted locally, and offered back as a download. They are never transmitted, and no copy exists outside your device at any point. Converted results live in tab memory only and are released when you close or leave the page. Outputs are re-encoded through a canvas, which strips metadata (EXIF), including GPS location — this happens on your device too. The methodology page documents how to verify all of this independently.
Offline cache
To make the tools work offline, a service worker stores the site's own pages and code (including the HEIC decoder) in your browser's cache — on your device, controlled by you, clearable through your browser settings at any time. It never stores your files.
Hosting and server logs
The site is served by Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes standard technical data (IP address, user agent, requested URL) to deliver pages and protect against abuse, subject to Cloudflare's privacy policy. Page requests are the only thing a server ever sees — your files are not in them. We use privacy-respecting, cookieless aggregate analytics (page views and referrers) to understand which tools are useful; this involves no cross-site tracking and no personal profiles.
Advertising
The site currently shows no advertising. If that changes, this policy will be updated first, any advertising will comply with applicable consent requirements, and a consent choice will be presented where required by law. File handling will not change: conversion stays local regardless.
If you email us, we use your address solely to reply. We don't add you to any list. Please don't email files — the tools are built so that no one, including us, ever sees them.
Children
The site is a general-audience utility and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
